This Privacy Policy explains how JH Square Co., Ltd. (“Mudang.k”, “we”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Mudang.kwebsite and app (the “Service”). We are the data controller for the information described here.
1. Information we collect
- Birth details — the birth date, time (optional), calendar type, and birthplace you enter to generate a reading. We use these only to compute your saju chart.
- Profile information — if you create a public profile: a display name, username, optional bio, avatar image, and an optional self-declared gender.
- Account & contact — an email address or third-party sign-in identifier if you choose to save your reading or sign in.
- Usage data — basic technical and usage information (e.g., device, pages viewed) to operate and improve the Service.
- Payment — purchases are handled by Paddle; we receive confirmation of a purchase but do not collect or store your full card details.
2. How we use it & legal bases
- To provide the Service — generate and store your readings (performance of a contract).
- To process purchases and prevent fraud, via our payment provider (contract / legitimate interests / legal obligation).
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service (legitimate interests).
- With your consent where required (e.g., optional public-profile features).
3. Sensitive birth information
Your birth date and time are personal to you. They are used to compute your reading and, where you opt in to features such as match discovery, to compute a compatibility score on our servers. We do not publish your birth date on your public profile, and we do not sell your information.
4. Service providers we share with
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate safeguards:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (hosting your account, readings, and avatars).
- Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd.) — our Merchant of Record, which processes payments and tax and handles your billing information.
- AI model providers — the birth-derived chart data needed to generate the text of a reading is sent to our AI provider(s) to produce that reading.
5. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data (see Section 7).
6. Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage that are necessary to run the Service (such as keeping you signed in and remembering your reading on your device). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or object to the processing of your information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, contact us through our 건의함 (contact form). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for those transfers.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
