Twelve stages guide
長生
Birth
1 / 12
The very start of something — new, fresh, still finding its feet.
How it shows up in a person
You meet things with curiosity here, more open than practiced. Beginnings come easily, and you don't mind being a beginner.
What matters is which pillar of your chart this stage sits in.

The twelve are one turning cycle: forming, growing, filling, easing, emptying, then forming again. No square is an end.
A stage describes the day master's vigor in that branch. It speaks of energy's phase, not a person's life — so Stillness (死), Storehouse (墓) and Empty turn (絕) point to rest after effort, storing and an open gap — not death.
